Azoria Partners has announced plans to launch a fund that will seek to punish companies deemed to have a woke agenda. S&P 500 firms with targets for hiring based on diversity will be excluded. Starbucks is expected to be the first company to be targeted.

In a chilling development, NYPD have released photos of the bullet casings found at the scene of the murder of Brian Thompson, the CEO of insurer, United Health. It is thought that these words are related to a 2010 book authored by Jay Feinman called “Delay, Deny, Defend”.

Record Natural Catastrophe Losses

Losses from natural catastrophes are expected to exceed $135 billion. This will be fifth consecutive year that losses have passed $100 billion. Two thirds of the losses originated in the US that was hot by two major hurricanes. Europe also suffered severe flood damage. Climate change?

HSBC Changes

HSBC has announced that its global head of private banking and wealth management, Annabel Spring, will be leaving. Her job will be split between Gabriel Castello and Lavanya Chari. This follows the departure of the bank’s chief sustainability officer, Celine Herwiyer. These initiatives are part of a cost cutting exercise designed to remove management layers.
