Jet Lag Woes
Thursday 15th July 2010
Have been trying to have my meetings, produce my course materials whilst suffering from severe jet lag.
Bizarre things have happened.
Went jogging yesterday at 3am in the morning. The city lights of Singapore are indeed beautiful at this time in the morning. The new Marina Basin spaceship hotel is indeed a wondrous thing. As I ran past Singapore’s Parliament building I mused about the meaning of democracy in this state. Do we really need democracy when everything is so ordered and clean in this society?
Jet lag saw me reading the FSA’s latest consultation paper dealing with proposed changes to the Mortgage COB. It would appear that laisez faire principles-based regulation is being replaced with rules that will dictate how mortgage companies make the lending decisions. But rules are what make Singapore such an ordered place.
Am I changing or is it the jet lag?
My new exercise regime appears to be paying dividends. As I stretched in the hotel gym today, two young American ladies asked me if I was ready to run the spinning class!!
Maybe the jet lag has not yet worn off.
Talk to you when I get to Sydney
