Internal Control Webinars

This week marked a major achievement for my company, Risk Audit, with the launch of our first recorded webinar.

Over the last few years, it has become clear to us that some members of our community (internal auditors, risk managers and compliance officers in financial services) do not have the time to devote to one-day training programmes (which we run in the City of London).

It has also been frustrating toonly be able to influence thinking in the UK when internal control and adequate risk management remains a challenge for the whole world.

Our new webinar product gives this community the chance to share some thoughts on internal control on key subjects via the ingenious platform provided by Cisco Webex.

This mechanism allows you to log into a website and see and listen to our webinars.

To date, we have a run (and will continue to run) a series of live webinars responding to timely themes in the market. Dealing with the dilemma posed by the Volcker reforms and the FSA’s stance on client money regulations are two cases in point.

We now plan to launch a library of recorded webinars dealing with fundamental “bread and butter” control issues. The Treasury webinar is our pilot in this field.

We hope readers of this blog will be tempted to invest the princely sum of £ 89 (plus VAT) and enter our new and exciting virtual world.

Thank you for your on-going support.
